A new relation with the objects, our environnement, is taking shape. As the Zen culture tries to dissip unuseful reaction thanks to the meditation, e-culture tries to reach efficiency in communication thanks to few rules. (At this point, I must clarify my position : I am not in a sect).
Clearly, anyone who tried to accomplish something with a computer required to be as "cool" as possible. And the problem is not to be "cool" but to stay "cool".

Generosity. Or share what you have. You can share on p2p (but it is illegal) edonkey.com, and you can also share your time on Internet to help newbies or wannabies. Sharing is the basic on Internet. The main work produce to build internet has been done because of generous and passionate people. (TCP/IP for example). Or wikipedia.

Discipline. Internet is fun but also technical. Without rules and protocol, nothing is possible. Internet is also easily damaged. For example, you can easily erase a part of Wikipedia database (emergency tools exist of course, but this act would be a waste of time for everybody).

Patience. With electronical stuff the middle age magical things reappear. Sometime all is logical, sometime this like the twilight zone. All go wrong and you don't know why. But with some practice of this "incredible" moment may make you realize that there is alway a cartesian reason for this. And soon you will think and analyse before striking.

Perseverance. Nothing is easy in the electronic jungle. Being hacked for the fourth time, spammed regulary about viagra while you are single, receiving virus from your best colleague... All you need is perseverance. And maybe one time you will succeed to install the anti-spammer, to block hacker activity on your PC. And to tell your colleague that it wasn't funny, at all.

Insight. Internet offers you the possibility to reach informations, the one you want, and when you want. Take advantage of this to learn and to think about your condition.



Comprehension. Have you ever seen a theater piece in which comedians do not understand what they are saying ? Quite horrible and uncomfortable for everyone... Internet is not a theater but if you do not understang what you are doing and why... you can also waste your time, and stay to much time on crappy blog for example... (I won't give example for this).

Love. It is the last quality : your capacity to love. To create before thinking of destroying others works.
